PSA: Abandoned spoilers have leaked onto the internet

For those who are excited to jump into the world of Forspoken on January 24th, we have a warning – spoilers have unfortunately leaked onto the internet.

Like games like God of War: Ragnarok, Pokémon Scarlet, and Violet, it’s becoming more common these days for spoilers to leak around a game’s release date, so it’s important to block keywords as much as possible. And be careful where you go online so you don’t stumble upon any of these vulnerabilities.

Eurogamer notes that opening times have been leaked online, and while bits and pieces of the game’s first few moments have been previewed and discussed before, developers often hide surprises or key story moments that they don’t want anyone to experience until The game is finally released.

Even more shocking was a report from DualShockers that Forspoken’s final boss fight was leaked to YouTube. Fortunately, it was taken down due to a copyright claim by Luminous Productions, but the damage was done and the information is now public.

As we mentioned before, Forspoken launches on PlayStation 5 and PC on January 24th. In our Forspoken preview, we said, “I’m pretty sure Forspoken is definitely fun, but its early chapters don’t always seem to be the place to find it. Magical combat hopefully develops and becomes more and more interesting over time.” The funnier it is, but whether that’s enough to overcome a lackluster script and the world it aims to bring to life remains to be seen.”

If you’re still unsure whether to continue the journey Forspoken has to offer, the game currently offers a demo. For more on the game, check out Six Things You Need to Know Before You Play and learn all about Forspoken’s magical combat system.
