Mercato Chelsea: Sacking Potter would cost a fortune

Chelsea have failed to win in all competitions in their last six games and even lost their third consecutive defeat to Tottenham Hotspur (0-2) in the Premier League on Sunday. In this difficult period for the Blues, manager Graham Potter has been weakened and many fans are calling for him to leave.

At present, the London management has not let go of the coach. But how long? If the results do not improve as soon as possible, the British will leave the team, Chelsea will give him a lot of money. In fact, the Mirror has announced that the club will have to pay around €57m to Porter, whose contract runs until 2027. For example, the formation that paid just over €30 million to sack Antonio Conte in 2019 set a record in 2018.

As a reminder, according to the latest estimates from the British media, Chelsea have paid Brighton 25 million euros to release Porter. If the adventure ends in the next few days, the London club can thus pay 82 million euros (not including wages) for a collaboration of approximately six months!
